Sean and Erika's wedding at the Sunken Gardens St Petersburg Fl

Halloween Wedding at The Sunken Gardens

My apologies on not keeping you guys up to date on everything that is going on.  The winter is a busy time around here and the holidays don’t make it any easier.  I am going to try my best to get you guys caught up on everything.  First things first… How about a wedding on Halloween? How about a wedding in the infamous Sunken Gardens?

I have known Erika, the bride, for quite a few years now.  We started going to The Art Institute around the same time and quickly became friends.  Because the school is so small; Erika, Me and three other amazing women seemed to take all of our classes together and the 5 of us quickly became inseparable.  All 5 of us had different types of photography that we wanted to specialize but it didn’t stop us from pushing each other in the different classes.  I am, who I am in photography, because Erika and Shannon, Iris and Kirstin were constantly pushing me to go above and beyond what I did for my previous project.

So, when Erika asked me to be her photographer, I definitely needed to say yes.  If is a great feeling when a friend asks you to photograph their wedding and it is entirely different when that friend is also a photographer, a good one too.

I won’t bore you guys with the mushy stuff.  I am a pretty emotional guy and I got a little misty eyed up there with my friend getting married.  I will tell you that I wasn’t sure how a wedding on Halloween would turn out…  That’s right ladies and gentlemen, they got married on Halloween. I wasn’t sure how a Halloween wedding would turn out, but she looked fabulous in her all black dress.

Her husband looked amazing too.  He has hair to die for.  In fact, the first thing my wife asked me when she saw me editing the pictures is “Why didn’t you cut off all of his hair for me?”  I say that in jest, but she really was envious of his hair.

Anyways, I am trying to get you guys caught up on my last couple months so be on the lookout for more blogposts.

Erika, thank you for allowing me to document your wedding.  I loved every second of it.  Well maybe not the heat and humidity, I could have done without it.  Sean, you have an amazing woman.  You did right on picking her.
