STEVEN & ALANA | THE PAVILION AT MIXON FARMS

Congrats to Mr. and Mrs. Giarratano

What happens when the wedding of the year happens in February? I had the pleasure of photographing an AMAZING wedding on “Leap Day” at an AMAZING venue, with an AMAZING couple. If you are near Bradenton, Fl and looking for a wedding venue, please keep “The Pavilion at Mixon Farms” in mind.

I met Alana when we both attended art school together.  I quickly discovered what a kind soul she has and how much she loves to smile.  Even though she was known for smiling, her face would completely light up when she began talking about Steve.  This woman was in love and she wanted the world to know about it. Fast forward 3 years and I am now photographing her wedding.  Unfortunately, the day of the wedding was the first time I got to meet Steve but immediately I knew why this woman fell head over heels for this man.  He is smart, funny and the smile when Alana was around, you just knew that he too was madly in love.

The wedding was amazing.  It helps when the officiant is the best friend of the bride.  Jared, the officiant, knows Steve and Alana very well so his carefully timed jokes kept the ceremony lighthearted and fun, exactly how Steve and Alana pictured it to be.

The day was as beautiful as you can imagine, with the dreamy weather of Florida in February, even though it got cold (Florida cold) later in the evening.  The Pavilion at Mixon Farms was the perfect host for the evening as well.

I caught on quickly that Steve and Alana are loved by so many and their friends are truly a part of their family. There were so many people who were so genuinely joyful for them and it just set the tone for the day, and once the sun went down, their friends were ready to party. It truly was the perfect day.

As I began the day, I was there to document their big day, but it didn’t take long for me to be welcomed into their extended family. That is the testament to both of their characters – making others feel welcome and accepted in their circle. I know this will be evidence to their marriage as well as they accept and welcome each other through different seasons of life. I am so happy for Mr. and Mrs. Giarratano and I was so honored to be alongside them as they committed their lives to one another.
